Your experience was different to mine; I found public school limiting and boring. Everybody there was of a type. It's a school that's very good at turning out officers for the posh Guards regiments and it is a fact, a fact I tells you, that 54% of people who went there are now estate agents in West London. Come out of Parsons Green tube and spit in any direction and you'll hit someone I was at school with.

I did very well out of it, got into The Oxford and have a quite pleasant life. But I certainly didn't learn about the wider world during ten years on a moor in North Yorkshire whilst being educated by men in black dresses.
