Please keep in mind that until recently PVG was pretty much an O&D airport so lounges were never much of a priority. But, since you guys landed your flight, I've received many a PM from people wanting to kill time between the arrival of their ORD inbounds and their timbuktu outbounds.

While the airport hasn't gotten any better since then, the surrounding attractions have made significant progress.

So, if I were in your situation, I would first grab my onward boarding pass and then go straight to the Ramada for a massage (take their shuttle bus or walk or else you'll have a very angry taxi driver). Because, you'll already be BP equipped, you'll be able to cut things really close on the back end.
