The first flight I remember was when I was 6 (1976). I have flown every year since then except 1991 and I really regret not going some where that year for the consecutive run.

In 1982 (age 12) I went to the World's Fair in Knoxville and loved the world pavillions. The Australia one made the greatest impression on me. They had a gorgeous girl leading the tour and telling people to feel free to ask questions because she loved our American accents. There was also a slideshoe that showed a topless beach. I watched twice.

'86 I went to Expo 86 a couple of times. It wasn't until 1994 that I finally had enough money and time to get my passport and leave the county. That was to go scuba diving in Honduras. The next year I was looking at my passport and decided it needed more stamps so I bought a cheap ticket to London and also visited Paris. Over the next few years I added a few more European countries.

My official turn to "traveler" would be June 15, 2001. That was when I left on a little trip to see Earth. I have been in about 45 states and 50-60 countries. I still have a long way to go, but it is a good start.
