I don't think there are new rates on fly smart awards. It's just that they do remember us of those awards, possible to book only 14 to 4 days prior departure, if available.

I don't recognize any change in the miles needed for such an award.

Europe-SIN is 75k miles in Y with fly smart instead of the normal 90k.
