I have a CO flight next week PNS-IAH-PHL and just noticed that my IAH connection time is only 33 minutes. Then just 4 hours later I have a NW flight to SAN. I usually don't check bags, but with the new rules I really have to unless I leave a lot of stuff at home. So can anyone that does normally check bags and connect thru IAH tell me if 33 minutes is enough time for my bags to make it, or should I just pack light and buy all the stuff I need when I get to SAN?
I have had some 30 and 35 minute connections at IAH, enver a problem. I have had some that were more on the lines of 15-120 minutes because the inbound was late and they still made it. Also, CO will hold a plane for a couple of extra minutes to get connecting bags on, I've heard the pilot on more than one occasion state "We're waiting for a few last minute bags and we'll be on our way" when the jetway was already removed (which fixes the departure time) and they were already a few minutes past scheduled departure. I wouldn't worry at all.
