while, yes, LH officially doesn't waitlist award tickets (only upgrades on paid/confirmed tickets), my LH angel in Zürich would automatically offer and do the job of checking regularly (she still doesn't mind swiss chocolates from time to time).

First class award seats to Singapore on flights leaving FRA Friday evening (after a full business week in Europe/Frankfurt) are in high demand - if two seats have already been given away as award seats (that's the average normal amount of 1st class seats, LH may have initially entered as availble for Europe-Asia awards) you are probably out of luck - as all others, being waitlisted for upgrades to first, will get automatically confirmations, once more seats are available.
