My guess is that the allow 21 days has been there as a disclaimer, ...In all actuality, I bet it's alot shorter average turnaround, closer to the 4-5 business days that other posters have experienced and reported here.
For the record, it took 17 days (calendar, not business) from time I mailed in request til changed on the data base. Why they ask for so much info, but on the data base only but the companion Name; I had to complete the address, phone, etc. So it probably took a WN agent 20 seconds or less to post, not a big deal.

So, I will mail my next change (back to orig. companion) about 5 days prior to taking the new companion on my next trip.

As to not complaining as they may audit (change) the program..., I think that is a bad position. They can always change the program for the worse, but can also change for the better -- and if WN is as they say they are, they want customer satisfaction and will listen.

I still think the lack of any real extra benefits for those that fly 50+ flights per year (what I call very freq flyers) is keeping many away from using SWA. As most other airlines give very freq flyers some very nice perks. If they really want the business public, they need to do something.
