it exists. its called "positive space." my mom used to work for CO. it doesnt make much sense to me, but basically, its non rev but you actually have a seat assignment.
when my mom travelled for CO, it would actually be positivce space non rev in FC and BC (intl). she ALWAYS got on the plane.
