FHR is certainly no mirage. We have received some great room upgrades and club access at RC St Louis, FS Boston and RC South beach recently. this is in addition to breakfast and other meal credits which are guaranteed.
Perhaps we have been fortunate that we were in these locations when they were not fully occupied but they certainly not deserted when we visited.
There is a very lengthy topic on this forum in either the luxury hotel or AMEX forum with many posts on this subject. You may need to go back a few weeks to find it.
