My oldest son and his bride spent the first half of their honeymoon at the HGI Napa just 5 weeks ago. They did not mention any construction noise, so maybe it's a new project. It's also possible, no probable, that you did not visit as many wineries as they did each day. They may have mistaken the construction noise for pounding-in-the-head hangovers.

They were very pleased with the hotel and the dozen wineries they visited in 2 1/2 days. They also found a brewpub nearby for those moments when they weren't drinking wine.
