I like your answers, but I also know there is a difference between Changing Y and adding IFE to Y in the 744 fleet. I am actually quite skeptical that UA will add individual IFE in 744Y. The return on investment is not great if UA can keep filling its 744 on international routes with out-dated IFE.

My answers:

1) Yes
2) Yes to seat change, but no IFE for the 744Y
