I *knew* there would be someone else, somewhere on FT who had the exact same question as me! I need to cook for a large hunting party in another state this weekend, I need to bring my meat thermometer with me for the flank steak I will be cooking. I, too, await the answer. It is quite the long and poky item and I really need it.
