Question Would BA refrigerate a pax's medicine during a flight? (12 hours)

Just flown on ANAther airline where this request was refused... at the gate.(I'd already mentioned I had the medicine with me at check in and that I'd be handing it to the FAs).

Would this have been any different on BA (or even VS)?

It won't be too long before I'm travelling between the UK and Japan with a family and I really don't want to uncover any ugly surprise policies like this on future trips.

And does anyone have any idea why an airline would do this? I understand cross contamination with food stuffs might be an issue, but wrapping up the medicine with some ice would have been fine. The cabin was warm enough to melt my chocolate biscuits, the medicine I had wouldn't have stood a chance.

(It was finally accepted... but only after a prolonged fight...with tears. And I was in Business class.)
