LH (miles&more) offered Merry, without him asking for anything, HON status, because LH was interested in the Multi-Million £ travel budget Merry was in charge then for his company ...

miles&more does, if 'the occasion arrises' (as when Austrian Airlines left Qualiflyer and joined miles and more 2 years ago; or now when LOT leaves Qualiflyer and becomes a miles&more partner) comp group of targeted FrequentFliers. But I am not aware that miles&more did ever comp any European based (I read some psting here that they were comped being USA based top-tier-members of another Frequent Flier program) to FT or Senator.
