Have you had a look at the Gulf Air website, regarding the FF miles?
I'm not aware of any way to use GF miles, except to transfer to Virgin Atlantic, which isn't helpful to you.

Considering the miles are (generously) valid for ten years, why not think of how you may use them in future for an upgrade or a free trip?
At present, you could possibly transfer them to a family member who could get better use of them...
