well, actually I had my dad call SMS. he asked if it was now a misconnect & the agent agreed. my dad then asked to put me on the direct flight he is on from MCO to SLC. the agent did so & even put me in the seat next to my dad.
only problem now is that my dad will most very likely be upgraded to 1st C. (all seats are open, except 1 which is my mother...). & since my dad put himself in an aisle 3 rows from the front of the cabin, I am now stuck in a middle seat (grrrrrrr)....
