hi everyone! (this is my first post to this group, so hi!)

i'm going to be travelling to australia for an extended stay (i'm going to medical school at the university of sydney) and i'm trying to get 100,000 points (either AC or AA) to fly business class from toronto-sydney round trip.

i have at my disposal: 25,000CAD for the next two months, plus a 30,000CAD credit line (i get about 5%p.a. interest). is there any way to "shuffle" this money about in such as way as to accumulate enough points? (i.e., use CIBC Aerogold visa or something?)
