Aeroplan Number - Busy?

Hi all -

I've been trying to call into the Aeroplan number for the past two days and have not been able to get to the Automated system, number comes up as busy ... anyone else experiencing this?

Even more odd... the first time I called yesterday, I got through right away... even after the 'higher than usual call volumes' prompt. The woman on the other end seemed very confused and shocked that I had gotten to her, as she was working with another client at the time. She said that 'it wasn't fair' that Elites were getting through quickly, as the the gentlemen she was working with had been on hold for 45 minutes... I said 'not really my fault, but I understand ... why not put me back in the queue then'.... to which she said something along the lines of 'we are super busy and you should wait you turn'... and promptly dropped the line... and me...

I'm not a customer service expert, but that is a pretty crappy way to handle a) someone who is willing to go back into the queue and wait their turn... and b) someone with 80+ segments, mostly on AC, because I actually LIKE the airline....

</rant> any whoo... anyone else have issues with the phone number?
