The UA culture has been (imho) irreparably poisoned by the back and forth battle between varying levels of management and unions over the past decade. There is a lot of front line staff out there who doesn't even care about taking it out on the customer anymore.
I fear that this situation will not resolve itself until this generation of staff leaves and fresh blood, unaware of the "good old days", starts working the front line.
...But in point of fact, UA has recently hired LOTS of new FAs. My understanding is that there is very high attrition among the new ones. Wasn't there a recent thread on this forum about that?
High attrition means the "new blood" doesn't like the job. Maybe it's the working conditions, maybe it's the low pay, maybe it's a combination of factors. Anyone know?
Truth is, we all want excellent service, but we don't want to pay anything for it. @:-)
