I just spent the most trying time with United's Call Center agent who didn't really understand nor speak English very well. She couldn't explain to me why I couldn't do a stopover in Taipei so I figured I'd ask for expert help here.

Here's what I'd like to do:

SEA-LAX-TPE (Taipei)-SIN-KUL with Stopover in Taipei. I'm not allowed to do that, nor a stopover in Singapore. Can anyone tell me why? I'd really like to know what United's stopover policy is. I looked for it in the FAQ section but didn't find anything.
