I wrote off SJC-NRT the minute AA started flying LAX-NRT. And it was clear that LAX makes more sense; they flow much more traffic through LAX, and were in the process of dismantling SJC.

I don't think AA factors in many people from the west coast backtracking; most will fly on the codeshares and partners from SFO.
