I hope that it was a bad passenger "joke" and not an action of the crew (collecting some coins for the flood victims in the lavatory without any hint, HaHaHa. There are better + professional ways to collect money.).
I'm with Gaucho100K to ask the Pursor in such a case. Or send an email/letter to LH and ask about the box.

Airline crews shouldn't take a tip (incontrast to e.g. staff in a train). Crews are considered to be the host. Many airlines (e.g. LH) forbid their crews to take a tip (the recommendation is to take the tip before a dispute starts and give it to a charity organisation afterwards).
