We did Haarlem a few years back. We found it quaint but not really exciting. I don't see us making it a "destination" again, though we would consider staying there if we couldn't find a decent place in Amsterdam.

We also did Zandvoort just so that we could see the beach and the North Sea. Found it to be the standard beachside tourist town.
