After I accept, however, it shows that the Friday and Saturday rates will be $24/night higher than the Thursday and Sunday nights I've reserved. There was no mention of that little detail before confirming the sale. I had to make a series of phone calls and this is the way the different reactions went:

Net Direct 800 #: Sorry, there is nothing we can do about, no refunds
allowed.

Diamond Desk: Sorry, there is nothing we can do about it, Net Direct is a
totally different entity over which we have no control. Let
us transfer you to Corporate.

Hilton Corporate: Sorry, we can't make any adjustment either, but let us put
a call in to the local hotel management to see if they'll
make an adjustment.

Local Hotel: No problem (Finally ^ ) we'll make a correction to your CC
and you'l get the lower price for all 4 nights.

Moral of the story (as has been illustrated many times on FT): Don't take the first, second, or third 'No' for an answer. At least for me it finally paid off in this instance.

Sorry this is not a net direct issue. There are many times that you book multi-night stays and a night (or multiple nights) will have different rates.

There is an indication on the book screen near the rate location that lets you know, that this is the case. It might even be on the confirmation page.
