I agree with the suggestion to transit through TPA thus avoiding MIA - the "puddlejumpers" as the locals refer to them fly on a pretty regular basis.
We just got back from Key West and had a truly relaxing time - what an amazing place !!
And you may get lucky on your flight - BA sometimes operate a 4 class aircraft on MCO and TPA routes. Anyway we had paid for Club, secured 12 A and B. When we checked in the lovely lady pipes up that there has been a seat change, me thinks her indoors will kill me if he does not get a window seat for whatever reason. Anyway, low and behold, our flight was well over booked so they opened the FIRST cabin and we were re-seated to 4 E and F. Needless to say, her indoors was not bothered about a window seat anymore ......
I think we were punished on the return though - 3 class 777 with a load of screaming kids in the forward Club cabin

Still, I just drank the bar dry and passed out
