Last month on vacation in Brazil we were scheduled to fly Salvador-Brasilia-Manaus but the flights were cancelled due to the demise of Varig. The alternatives were TAM (very expensive) and Gol (nasty feeling). So we stayed in Salvador, skipped Manaus.
