Why? Well I just tried to see if there was any Aeroplan availability for the route and it wouldn't even bring up any results, connecting or not. Then I go the aircanada.com and try random dates after the 12.15 supposed start date right through to Feb (when I want to travel) and their are no direct flights. All of them connect through LAX or DEN.

Not that it totally matters for me as I really am going to SAN and there are some star alliance awards available on some dates in late Feb although they weren't the exact dates I was looking for, that is why I tried PSP as an option.
