I flew DL from JFK-MEX, all other segments were on Aeromexico. All upgrades cleared at the 72 hour window (I'm GM) except MEX-JFK yesterday. In a sense, I'm rather fortunate that I cleared 3 of 4. However, apparently when I checked in at SJD yesterday, I was not added to the upgrade waitlist for MEX-JFK, even though I asked to be.

When I got to MEX, I asked 3 different AM agents if my upgrade had cleared, or what the situation was. Not a one of them mentioned that I was not on the waitlist... even the GA of my flight. She simply told me to wait until everyone had boarded w/out looking up my record. Then, when she finally called me up, she informed that I was not on the list, she couldn't add me to the list, and that since there was one person (a DL Elite) on the list, the one remaining upgrade would go to her. (For my own sanity, I'm just going to assume that the other person was a PM.)

I'm not sure how to ensure that you're on the list, but be forewarned.

Also, it has been reported in this forum that GMs have access to the Salon Premier. This, apparently, is no longer the case. I *did* get access by showing my (upgraded) BP on the way out, but was denied on the way back.

Also, my thoughts on the MEX airport... it was generally chaotic and not very well organized at all, IMO. My biggest gripe was the lack of food options in the international area, and next would be the general nonchalance of the AM employees (outside the Salon Premier lounges).
I didn't realize that Medallion members get upgraded on partner airlines now.
