Cell phone charger - foreign rental cars
Am travelling with only carry-on luggage to Europe this weekend; do not want to take a converter if I do not have to.

I have a US-bought Motorola cell phone. Can I use the car charger (for use in cigarette lighter) which came with the phone in a European (BMW or Benz) rental car?

Question is two fold:
1) same voltage or current (or whatever the techy term is )
2) is it the same sized hole

Or, should I bite the bullet and just lug my converter kit along?
