I stayed there many years ago because I was booked there as someone's guest, and will never do so again.
As some of you may recall, a number of years ago (I think in pre-Marriott days) a few hotels (e.g., Houston--now a St. Regis, Washington--now a Westin) lost their R-C affiliation for failing to meet standards. Perhaps this one was being managed by Kempinski at the time so didn't qualify for eviction; perhaps Marriott doesn't care about standards. Whatever the reason, it's shocking that this dump continues as an R-C.
