Last friday night we didnt even push back until 60 or 70 mins ish after scheduled departure time. Something about a fire in the ATC place, and having to get a new flight plan, then take on more fuel. then a nice long line of planes in front of us on the taxiway.
Sure enough looking at the map on the screen, we went more directly across the atlantic instead of over newfoundland.
Quite why boarding wasnt delayed I am not sure- they knew about it beforehand
