No I wouldn't expect US to pay for my stay, as they rebooked my for the flight tomorrow. What i'm annoyed with is that I'd checked in got a boarding pass but got held up at customs for 2 hours. In Toronto we clear US customs at the airport.

I'm just annoyed that they knew i had a boarding pass and the flight isn't set to depart until 6:30 and it left early.

In the several hundred flights a do a year most times the door is closed on time. Not 10 minutes or 5 minutes earlier.
