Happened to me a couple of weeks ago.
Our flight (with all of 3 pax on board) got in very late to YUM. After I used the phone in baggage claim to call a cab, I went outside to wait and the security guards locked the door behind me.
Felt a little strange. Nobody else outside either.
Must have been a small airport.
The airport I work at, the doors are never locked. There is no closing time.
