I had a QF captain sit on my foot rest for about 20 mins while chatting to me over a few cups of coffee. Soon after we reached cruise altitude, the captain into the F cabin to greet the passengers. I was in 4K and the last stop on his rounds.

This was the same captain that had invited me to the flight deck a few years earlier for a landing into LAX and was also a contributer an aviation news group. He is also associated with HARS and we spoke at length about the Connie and Catalina. No FAs told him that he could not sit there .
