I must give credit to BA management for greatly improving the JFK operation over the past 5 years. It went from marginal (despite good physical plant in the terminal, just about the best in JFK) to much better, and there were a series of incremental improvements over the years. Quite impressive (while LHR went downhill during the same period). Someone at BA deserves some praise. I think BA faces a lot of competitive pressure at JFK, and the corporate contracts are more demanding, which led to the service improvements in the JFK ground handling. So maybe BA had to do this to earn the corporate J business (including throwing in lots of free F flights out of JFK), but it has resulted in a nice facility. It helps that CX, QF and IB pay part of the bills for the ground handling.
