Maybe, but don't give up completely. As a Premier, you can't pre-reserve an exit row seat, but you can certainly request one at check-in. If the extra legroom is important to you (it would be for me) then get to the airport early and check-in with a human. Ask for a seat change to the exit row. If there is one available, you should get it. There is also a possibility that E+ seats will become available as higher status passengers clear their upgrades. Ask about vacancies in E+ at the same time. You might even call in with that inquiry at the 72 and 48 hour u/g "windows."

Yeah, I'd assumed I'd have some chances at the AP. Will the UA agents check me in, or do I have to go to AC. I ask because the UA agents will at least have a clue about E+ :-)
