LGB appears to use HP (USAir) personnel. Have never had a problem with them - if anything, they are too helpful -- over the weekend I was checking in using one of the ticket counter kiosk machines .... the HP agent at the counter offered .. actually just about insisted on checking me in himself for some reason (I was interested in perusing the current seat map, thinking about maybe switching to a different seat) ... I let him check me in, all was well.
I believe that previously AS used AA personnel at LGB -- until AA conceded defeat to JetBlue and ceased all operations at LGB.
