Do we know for sure if LH is treating Austrian and Tyrolean as two airlines? If so, does it mean that Austrian (OS) ticketing on Tyrolean airlines metal (which is the only way to fly Tyrolean) not eligible as a code share or is it counted as a leg in Tyrolean?

I emailed M&M about this and got the following answer:
OS, NG and VO are treated as different airlines under this promo, if booked with an OS flight no. The system will automatically recognize the different AUA companies by their flight nos.
Furthermore, according to M&M, for all flights within this promo the flight is registered under the airline under whose code it is booked, e.g. if SAS is booked with an LH flight no, it counts as an LH flight.
On a general note, I don't think this promo is worth the hype. Unless your regular travel allows you to include several Star Aliiance airlines in your flights without much extra hassle/cost, I wouldn't go for it. I recently completed a mileage run with Qualiflyer for 240,000 extra miles in return for only 700 € in paid tickets, now that's what I call a promo (although it was only available to selected customers).
