A number of FTers coming back from the DO over Labor Day had no problem bringing back the small size bottles of liquids. In fact
KathyWdrf talked back to the security guy who was trying to confiscate a $30 bottle of larger-than-allowed sunscreen and got the bottle stored with the cabin crew. I, on the other hand, didn't talk back and got a similar bottle (but bought much cheaper in FRA duty-free) confiscated and put in the trash.
It doesn't matter which airline you fly since the screeners are non-airline personnel.
