Canada, Mexico, Israel, Italy and China perhaps being the maximum limit of his travels prior to the Presidency? Except for his visit to Israel while he was still Governor of Texas, I cannot recall any other visit of his abroad but some of those others happened. I think the idea that he hadn't traveled abroad is mostly myth. He just was a cushioned traveler.

His father was a political appointee to a diplomatic post, having gotten the ambassadorship to China. But I don't recall stories about him accompanying his father on a trip abroad on Air Force One or Two while his father was President or Vice President.
