I've actually had good experiences with Priceline rooms. I've never experienced overt hostility as a Priceline guest.

As for the Elizabeth area, it was fine. As I stated, the hotels in that area looks like they were built in the last 5 years. There's a decent mall across the street.
From the reviews I've read on tripadvisor, this area is a stark contrast to the hotels in Newark. The reviews there said the neighborhood was horrible and the hotels were poorly maintained. I remember reading a review that called the Newark Hilton a disgrace to the Hilton name.
