Offer to buy Hilton rejected

Far from selling the Hilton Hotel to anyone who makes an offer, Prime Minister Owen Arthur says the authorities have already turned away a potential buyer.

While not dismissing the idea of selling the hotel, he says government has not invited anyone to buy the property, but instead has been receiving offers from people with an interest.

Mr. Arthur was speaking at the Barbados Labour Party’s public meeting in Oistins, where he also dismissed speculation that elections would be called in January next year. - more -
