I wouldn't be surprised if, and the wording on
www.miles-and-more.com/milestohelp certainly suggests that, miles can only be donated in multiples of 10000. I'm really interested to know how much LH actually donates for a given amount of miles -- and compare that to the amount they charge for the same amount of miles when bought.
I would really appreciate LH's move if they would donate all miles that would otherwise expire. As it is right now, LH tries to look good by cooperating with charities without actually giving anything substantial.
