1 - The FIRST thing I notice with it is that the text on boards like FT is definitely "fuzzier" and far less sharp to the eye than it was on 6.

i.e. what I am typing now is not as crisp - nowhere near. I am near computer illiterate, and maybe I just need to change some settings to fix that, (advice appreciated if i do!) but right now that is the main downside.
Click "Tools" in the drop down click "internet options" then on top of the resulting box click the "advanced" tab. Scroll through the options for "cleartype" and check or uncheck the box for it, depending on which way it is set now.

2 - All the little function boxes across the top are now gone.

The web address you are looking at is across the top right now.

I tried to get things back but see you only have the usual Tool-bar options under menu bar.

So right now instead of going up top to "FILE" then "PRINT" as I once could, and make some choices, all I have now is a printer icon image. Click on that and EVERYTHING on the webpage prints - even if that is 10 pages of it. Darn annoying. (And expensive) And I can't choose my BW or colour printer up front as required for different jobs.

I am worried if I un-install, it will be a mess.

Wish I had read this thread first.

Thoughts?

Also the top left back and forward buttons are both the same blue as rest of the top, look weird, and really are not as intuitive as the old ones were. WHY they mess with design and colour of basic things like that amazes me.
All those things are still there, they're just hidden. Right click one of the top toolbars and uncheck the "lock the toolbars". Then you will see dotted vertical lines. Click and hold the one next to "home" and drag it left. You can do the same with the other parts to set them up how you want to. When done, re-"lock the toolbar" (by right clicking one of the toolbars).

To get the menu back (File Edit View Favorites etc...) Click "Tools" and then click "Menu Bar".
