Donating miles, as established by several other airlines, is IMHO a very inefficient and stupid charitable use of miles because of its abmyssal $-yield. If somebody wants to donate his miles in a meaningful way, he should spend them on a flight award, then donate a money amount equal to the price of a paid ticket for this flight.
