It actually is Dell. I had similar problems 3 years ago & we tried the re-seating thing. Didn't work, so we went w/ new keyboard which a friend installed. And worked until this past week. My laptop takes a lot of grief going through TSA.

With all due respect to India tech support, I'm a moron when it comes to technology so them walking me through trying to take everything apart/reseat this time didn't work, and I figured it was easier to just order the replacement ($29.95 - $49 w/ tax & s/h).

Since this is a quick biz trip (out at 6am Tues; back noon Thurs), I'll use laptop at home w/ external keyboard until trip & once the replacement arrives/get friend to install it for me (likely this upcoming weekend), so will post on the weekend. Not going to bother bringinig laptop on road w/ me. So hey, just not have to worry if the liquid make-up makes it through in the clear ziplock bag

In next 2 mths will be ordering a new laptop (prob Dell cuz sis gets fed gov't discount), so at that time will get the super duper get your butt to my home office now service contract.

Cheers.
