Where do you do it on nwa.com? The "Manage your reservations" page does not appear to offer any way to select seats on
any KLM flights. However, calling NWA got me my favoured 12E on both the KLM trasatlantic segments (YYZ-AMS and AMS-YYZ). However, as expected, no seat assignments on AMS-LIS and LIS-AMS.
Incidentally, I have had a few intra-European op-ups on KLM and AF, but only under the same conditions as the trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific op-ups -- economy is oversold, but there is still room in business class.
