I've never been in a situation where I've been "forced" to read someone else's magazine or watch their laptop screen. I really doubt that that happens with much regularity. More like prying eyes.

What I have been "forced" to deal with is people who have loud and annoying conversations and the noxious fumes coming from people who apply or remove nail polish on planes. Now those are hostile environments.
