I returned on BA 2026 this morning from Houston and, after breakfast, went to the WC to brush my teeth. Opened up the new amenity bag (hhhmmm, not convinced about the new design... give me time), brushed my teeth and reached for the little bottle of mouthwash to rinse my mouth, but it wasnt there!
So, did I get a duff bag or is it a permanent removal of mouthwash from the club world amenity kit?
Am I the only one to mourn that loss? The Club toothpaste is a little "gritty", so rinsing it out with a mouthwash seems like a good idea (and I certainly don't fancy doing it with the tap water in the WC...). Maybe next time I will have to take a water bottle in the WC with me and use bottled water to rinse...
Today has been interesting and embarrassing... I think that I make a really dopey person after a red-eye flight.
First I made a spectacle of myself trying to use the IRIS system at LGW North (much to the amusement of other passengers and at least one immigration official...

).
THEN we MAY have left the baggage carousel prematurely... there hadn't been any new bags coming out in a few minutes (only five left on the carousel and one other passenger still waiting). Since we had two AA internal flights connecting to Houston (SNA-DFW, DFW-IAH), we were pretty much suspecting our bags not to make it. So we reported the lost bag and left. Well, both bags were just delivered (10 minutes ago). Since our flight was the last BA flight out of Houston AND the bags were not retagged, I can only assume that they did make the flight and appeared on the carousel shortly after we left...
On the bright side, had a fantastic crew from Houston to Gatwick - GREAT service and they kept refering to us by name (may have been helped by having such a small load of passengers - probably about 50 on the whole plane!)
