I stayed there a few years ago over the 4th of July weekend. I agree it is in a terrific location and there is a subway stop only about one block away.

When the place is busy, the elevators are inadequate and the breakfast/evening reception is a mob scene. Again, I was there over a holiday weekend that included a lot of families.

I'd stay there again. I think you will like it.
